
Even though we all try to cram in anything and everything we might need for a day on the water, the truth is that we have to make some choices. Some flies are going to have to stay in the trunk. That extra spool just won’t fit. But there are some pieces of equipment that are small enough and light enough to fit into anyone’s pack.
And they’re the kinds of things that you’re better of having and not needing instead of needing and not having.
Today I talk about three of such pieces of fly fishing gear. They are going to go with me anytime I’m going to be far from my car. Why? They’re ability to turn a very bad situation around is worth the few ounces and square inches they demand. Check out all three and my thoughts below:
